MOVING LANDSCAPE

Installation exhibited in 2000 at the Tráfego Art Gallery, on Rua Miguel Bombarda, Porto.

Inside the Gallery space, 2 landscape photographs (taken in Serra da Estrela) were repeated until they cover the entire perimeter of the space. The entrance to the internal space is only 40 cm, so that, once inside, the observer does not see the entrance, creating an illusion of a infinite space. This project was carried out in collaboration with Arch. Nuno Brandão, changing radically the existing space. The light was controlled so as not to create shadows and reduce the three-dimensional expression to its minimum expression. In an adjacent space, a system of projection and mirrors, accessible only visually through a small hole in the wall, where 1 projected image is repeated to infinity.
