WATER
Completed in 2024, this series gathers images taken in various locations between 2008 and 2024 as raw material; up to its completion date, it assumes an ever-evolving body of work, with potential to have no end in sight. The series relies on a deliberate tension between two states: extreme proximity—water as tactile abstract matter—which, when the horizon appears, expands, restoring the perception of a physical presence. This rhythm between zooming in and zooming out forms the structure that gives the series its pulse. It does not intend to be an archive of water images, but stems from an exhaustive investigation into the elements that constitute the landscape, pulsing between the abstract and the recognizable.
